Today we had to spend around St Moritz, before heading to Zürich in the afternoon. The night before at dinner we asked the waitress where the best place to see snow was, because we hadn’t experienced it before, and she said that taking the cable car up Diavolezza mountain. So we decided to take a few photos around St Moritz, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and then go and play in the snow!
Some of these photos really don’t do it justice, it was just incredible
Pity about the lens flare on some of these photos, the next thing we will be getting for the camera is a lens hood
Imagine living here!
After spending the morning in St Moritz we caught the cable car up to Diavolezza. It was quite cold at the top! Because it was fine and there was no wind, it was actually very pleasant up there and almost warm after we were running around a bit.
The panorama views at the top were insane, this was definitely the highlight of the trip
View from the other side of the lookout
I slipped over in the ice and had a massive egg on my leg, the important thing was i saved the camera!
After all of the shenanigans, it was time for lunch. Hugely overpriced soup, but it was very nice
Bernina express train, from the cable car on the way down.
More amazing views
This should be the postcard for the cable car company!
From there it was 4 hours worth of train rides into Zurich.
The next day in Zurich we had ideas of walking around and checking out the place, but unfortunately the weather was pretty horrible, and we were pretty tired from the big day before. So it was a bit of a chill out day. From there, we parted ways with Tristan and Lauren, and headed to Munich for Oktoberfest!
